How to Manage Your IPMAT Preparation With Boards 2025

Managing IPMAT preparation along with the board examination in 2025 may be a little demanding but definitely possible. Here are the guidelines that will assist you do well in both of them.

  1. Understanding the Importance of Time Management

Time management is very important when it comes to addressing IPMAT as well as board exams. Find out the number of hours needed in the boards and IPMAT for each subject. Super segment the day and allocate particular time for each to ensure that students prepare for both examinations.

  1. Make a Good Study Timetable

Schedule your study time by having a structured time table of when you are to study. Concentration should be made on areas of common knowledge, such as mathematics, which is relevant in both tests. Spend the same amount of time in the areas that are less familiar to you, time-wise should be fair. Try the following method for effective results:

  •         Morning: Focus with subjects in the board exam that require complete concentration.
  •         Afternoon: Solve problems based on the type of questions asked in IPMAT such as Quantitative Ability and Logical Reasoning section.
  •         Evening: Summarize what you learned and answer practice papers.

  1. Prioritize Key Topics in Both Exams

That is where the syllabus comes into play. For boards, use NCERT text books and solved papers as they give an insight to what form the boards tests take. For IPMAT, emphasis should be given to the sections such as LRDI, Quantitative Ability and Verbal Ability. Ensure that there is interrelation of the issues under study so you can cross check them as you study.

  1. Taking mock test and self assessment on a regular basis

Mock exams are very important, especially to keep track of the candidate’s performance, and how they are able to utilize time wisely when under pressure. Try to give at least one board and one IPMAT mock test per week. It means that each time you want to consider where you went wrong and specifically which activities were time consuming so that you can work hard at making them better.

  1. Taking Breaks After Short Study Sessions

Avoid those long and boring study sessions but use short but effective study sessions instead. It might be 45 minutes studying followed by a 10 minute break – That is much less stressful for the brain than being stuck in a single subject for an hour. This way, you can cover more without feeling like you are being overloaded with too much information at the same time.

  1. Seek Guidance From Mentors

Being in coaching or using other materials assists in preparing for both assessments. Experienced mentors and teachers can also give tips as to how the exam will be held in the case of IPMAT. Also, one may work in a group with peers who are preparing for similar examinations.

  1. Percentage of articles related to Health & Well-being

Sound mind and body are important; especially when the body games get tough. If you want to make the most of the given time, then you should try to eat healthy, maintain adequate rest, and avoid burn out. Stress and difficulty to focus can be also relieved by such activities as practicing mindfulness or doing light exercising.

  1. Stay Consistent and Motivated

One important lesson that can be said is that, for both IPMAT as well as board examinations, consistency is definitely the name of the game. Have short-term goals, preferably for a day, and it is helpful to note the level of progress. Give yourself deadlines and incentives for each day or week of rehearsing—it props you up when you know you’ve come to prepare to the best of your ability.

Managing IPMAT and boards simultaneously may make it look a bit hard to do, but with proper planning, you can make it. Always focus on your goals, keep yourself disciplined and motivated to perform to the best in the year 2025.
