About IPMAT Exam

 

IPMAT known as Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test It is an entrance exam which is conducted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIMs). Various institutes conduct their own IPMAT to admit students in their 5-year Integrated Program in Management. IIM Indore conducts its own IPMAT, IIM Ranchi accepts IPMAT Indore scores and SAT scores, IIM Rohtak conducts it own IPMAT. IIM Bodh Gaya and Jammu together conduct an examination called JIPMAT.

The exam is for admission in five-year integrate program in management (IPM). The IPM program it designed for students who have completed their higher secondary education (12th grade). It is designed for students who desire to pursue a career in management directly after school.

The IPMAT exam examines the candidate’s aptitude in sectors such as Quantitative Ability (QA), Verbal Ability (VA), and Logical Reasoning (LR). The exam ordinarily consists of multiple-choice questions and it is also conducted in online mode. Subsequently, the exam is followed by a Witten Ability Test (WAT) and a Personal Interview round. The candidates are shortlisted from these two rounds. IIM Rohtak IPMAT has a slightly different exam pattern, in which, it tests the aspirants on Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning in a separate section along with one section each on Reading Comprehension and Verbal Ability, and Quantitative Ability.

The IPMAT Exam offers students an opportunity to gain admission to the highly regarded IIMs directly after completing their higher secondary education. It also provides a comprehensive management education combined with undergraduate studies.
